Based at Canadian Forces Base Gander, 9 Wing operates under 1 Canadian Air Division's command. The dedicated team of 103 Search and Rescue Squadron is always prepared to respond swiftly. The wing includes 9 Air Reserve Flight for essential base support, and it houses Canadian Forces Station Leitrim Detachment Gander, responsible for maintaining signals intelligence operations. Additionally, the wing manages a Canadian Coastal Radar for Fighter Group Canadian NORAD Region Headquarters. In Newfoundland, the Wing supports the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre Detachment Corner Brook, oversees 41 Cadet Corps, and maintains armories in Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, and Stephenville.
